This script is designed as a visual tool for traders to identify key time intervals on their trading charts. It works by creating a dedicated overlay window that marks specific "minute" milestones throughout the day, helping you quickly recognize important structural moments in the market's timeline.
How it Works
The core logic of this tool is based on time detection. It constantly scans the historical and real-time data of your chart to identify exactly which minute a price candle belongs to. When the current time matches the specific minutes you have defined in the settings, the script draws a visual marker (a histogram bar) in a separate window.
Key Features
- Customizable Time Milestones: You can choose four different specific minutes to highlight. For example, you can set it to mark the top of every hour (00), the half-hour (30), and smaller increments like 15 or 45 minutes.
- Visual Hierarchy: The script allows you to differentiate between "Major," "Secondary," and "Minor" time markers. By adjusting the height settings, you can make important time marks (like the start of a new hour) appear larger or more prominent than smaller sub-minute markers.
- Separate Window Display: To ensure the main price chart remains clean and uncluttered, all these time indicators are displayed in their own dedicated window at the bottom of your workspace.
Practical Application
By using this tool, traders can visually sync their analysis with the clock. It serves as a constant reference point to see how price action behaves at specific regular intervals—such as checking for volatility shifts at the top of the hour or identifying recurring patterns at 30-minute marks.
