Time_Zones

This script is designed to provide a visual overview of global market sessions directly on your trading charts. Instead of forcing you to manually track different time zones, it automatically highlights specific periods of high activity based on the international financial calendar.

Core Functionality

The primary purpose of this tool is to segment the trading day into six distinct "Work Time" blocks. Each block corresponds to a significant global economic event or market opening, such as the Asia Open, European Session, London News, and the US News session.

How it Works

  • Visual Mapping: The script draws colored rectangular zones on your chart. These zones act as visual boundaries, allowing you to see at a glance which "session" is currently active or which time frames historically saw significant price movements.
  • Historical Tracking: You can configure the tool to display these sessions over a specific number of past days (defaulting to 50 days). This allows for historical analysis to identify patterns in volatility during specific windows.
  • Dynamic Sizing: The script calculates the high and low price points for each session block automatically. Depending on your settings, it can either strictly highlight the actual price range established during that period or apply a specific calculation to define the visual boundaries of the box.
  • Automatic Date Handling: The logic includes an intelligent calendar system that automatically skips weekends and accounts for varying month lengths (including leap years). This ensures that the session blocks remain aligned with the correct trading days without manual adjustment.

Key User Features

  • Customizable Timeframes: You can define exactly when each session starts and ends (e.g., defining the "London Big Ben" news at 08:30 GMT).
  • Color Coding: Each session is assigned a unique color, making it easy to distinguish between different global markets (e.g., distinguishing the US News block from the European Settlement).
  • Clean Chart Integration: The zones are designed to appear in the background of your chart, ensuring they provide context without obstructing your view of the price candles.

Essentially, this tool transforms a complex global clock into a simple, color-coded roadmap, helping traders identify when the most significant market action is likely to occur.
